Indoor Air Quality Solutions ~ Improve Your Family's Health and Comfort

Air Filtrations systems

When it comes to your home, you want the air you breathe to be as clean and healthy as possible. On average, each of us breathes about 3,000 gallons of air every single day. Even though we can’t see it, that air can carry millions of tiny particles like dust, dander, mold spores, and even dust mite waste that can trigger allergies and asthma.

At Diamond Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electric, we know that clean air means more than comfort. It means health, energy savings, and a better quality of life for your whole family.

Why Standard Filters Don’t Cut It

If you are using a basic one-inch filter, you might be surprised to learn that it only captures 2 to 4 percent of the contaminants that pass through your system. That means over 90 percent of what’s floating in your air continues to circulate through your home and lungs.

Our Air Ranger system was designed to take on what traditional filters can’t. It captures and destroys up to 97 percent of contaminants, helping eliminate everything from bacteria to allergens. Most homeowners only need to replace their Air Ranger filter every 3 to 4 months depending on the season and environment.

Real Families. Real Results.

One of our favorite stories comes from the Samuelson family here in the Treasure Valley. With six asthmatics in the house, their family had spent years relying on inhalers, nebulizers, and hospital visits.

In 2011, they allowed Diamond Heating and Cooling to install a Micro Power Guard air system. What happened next changed their lives.

“For the first time ever, most of our inhalers and nebulizer medications have actually expired,” says Laura Samuelson. “We haven’t had a single ER visit or hospital stay due to asthma since the installation.”

Cleaner air meant fewer asthma triggers, less dust, and a noticeable improvement in their health. Like many families, they discovered that better air quality doesn’t just make a home more comfortable—it can make it healthier.

How the Air Ranger Works

The Air Ranger uses polarized media filtration to give airborne particles an electrical charge. This causes them to clump together and fall out of the air more quickly, keeping them from circulating in your ducts. At first, you might notice a little more dust settling on surfaces. That is a sign the system is working. Over time, dust levels in your home will drop significantly.

We also carry UVC germicidal and UVV oxidizing lights that naturally disinfect and deodorize the air around the clock without chemicals. This helps control bacteria, viruses, and odors, leaving your air cleaner and fresher.

This same air cleaning technology is trusted in hospitals, schools, and even museums where air quality standards are strict.

Safe, Smart Ozone Use

We often get questions about ozone and safety. The Ozone system uses a small, duct-mounted 5-inch ozone lamp that stays within EPA and ASHRAE safety standards. Because the ozone is contained within your ductwork, it is used up during the oxidation process before it ever enters your living space.

This allows homeowners to enjoy the odor-fighting and sanitizing benefits of ozone safely, without overproduction or harmful byproducts.\

The Hidden Bonus: Longer System Life

Cleaner air is great for your health, but it is also great for your HVAC system. When dirt and debris build up on your blower or coils, efficiency drops fast. The EPA found that a buildup as thin as 1/20 of an inch can reduce efficiency by over 20 percent.

By keeping your system cleaner, the Air Ranger helps your equipment run longer and more efficiently. When paired with a whole house fan, you can even cut your cooling bills by 50-90 percent by using the outdoor air to cool your home.

That means less strain on your furnace or air conditioner and fewer expensive breakdowns down the road.
